Research and Layout

Kickstarted the project with secondary research on existing books, past events and articles. I then captured the target audience and created a moodboard to have a visual direction for the book. A robust and flexible grid structure was designed to display content and imagery in interesting layouts while keeping things tight. A typescale and color palette was derrived from the brands existing guidelines and tweaked to accomodate it for print.

Visuals and Design

Each visual in the book was carefully picked, corrected and placed to create visual flow between the spreads. The book was designed with lot of white space in mind and brands accent color red was used to highlight the key areas giving the book a modern look that matched with brands style.

Book Cover

A book box was designed to keep the book safe, enhance the vaue and to compliment the premium design of the book. The box designed was just a bit bigger than the book, helping it to stay in postion while not wobbling. The box was split in uneven half’s with a slit incined at 12° (the lean angle in Ducati's wordmark). The cover had cutout’s of Ducati logomark and wordmark through which we get a sneek view of the Book’s white leather cover. and the inside was covered with Red velvet cloth to insure there were no scratches.
